Room Tour

Hiiii! This is a highly requested blog post :) I thought since it's good lighting in my room, I'd get some shots of my room. It's quite a big room, but the thing is, I only have 2 walls to work with, since my balcony takes up one wall and my wardrobe takes the other. So I can't exactly move my bed sideways along the wall, because then I'd have no where to put my desk! I'd love to have that extra space in the middle and put a rug there or something, but yeah, that's okay.

It's amazing when I wake up, especially in the winter, because the sun shines directly into my room. And I do have roller shutters, so I can wake up in peace without the sun piercing my eyes.

This post is photo heavy!

Doorway
Typo wall stickers (don't sell this style anymore)

There's a whole lot of Typo stuff in this picture. The bird canvas, the bird cage, and the jewellery holder. This is just where my random stuff goes, watch, glasses, wallet, whenever I come home, I just dump stuff here.

This is where I do my makeup, clear storage is from Target, brush holder from Typo, green tub from a bargain store.

View from my balcony

I stopped collecting toys ages ago, so they just sit at the top here. They're probably really dusty, haven't touched them in ages!

My wardrobe. I'm lucky this was already here when I moved in.

I mainly use the middle area for my going-out clothes. Right side is home clothes and dresses and left side is bags, as seen in my last bag organisation post.

Left Side of my wardrobe, dunno what to hang on that moustache hook, but I knew I had to get it haha.
 & Nail polishes :)

My main wall :)
Fully from Typo haha. The big Paris canvas I got last year and was only $5!!!!! I remember blogging about this last year haha.

Little polaroid cards are from Typo (don't think they sell these anymore),  the 3D butterflies, (I just bought recently) and the lanterns.

Little sticker letters are from Typo too :)

I used to collect Cosmopolitan magazines, but I stopped. I do buy the odd issue now and then.

Kpop calendar (designed myself, printed free :D) post here

Last year's Shaun the Sheep calendar. I LOVE SHAUN THE SHEEP. Best show.

Random cloud shot from my balcony.

Gingerbread wall sticker from Typo (it wasn't for sale, it was a part of our Christmas theme decoration in store)

Odd toys that don't fit anywhere else :)

I got this giant Big Bang poster from one of my besties, I don't know where to put it....

Desk area. I know, it's super messy...

Yay Big Bang :) I like this cos GDragon is the one facing backwards, but honestly I love all of them just as equally :)

Ah, that was such a long post! Hope you enjoyed that somewhat of a room tour haha.

Oh and the colour of my room....I don't remember what colour it was, but I remember telling my dad I wanted it a light blue colour, but he bought this one, and I like this colour better anyway :) Originally, he wasn't going to paint it, but just before we moved in, he suprised me :D YAY.

Anyway, hope you have a fantastic week guys! :)

Week Recap

I haven't blogged allllll week! Sorry :(
I was meaning to post a bunch of things like mascara reviews, nail swatches and circle lens posts but I didn't feel that it was good enough quality so I kinda just left it....that's the main reason why I don't blog. I feel that my photos don't depict the colour properly or like, a mascara post without eye photos, you know? I can't just talk about a mascara without showing you how it looks on the eye! My camera skills aren't the best but I try haha.

Anyway so I thought I'd just put a few photos in this post and yeah :)

This week I bought 3 coats, haha. I'm preeeeeeetty sure I'm set for winter now.

Glassons

I went to go eat at Chefs Gallery in the city. That place is super yummy! I wish I had bigger stomach space to fit it all, but that's okay cos that means I can go again and again haha.

Prawn and pork wonton noodles in a Shanghainese style spicy sauce

Crab meat spring rolls

Pan fried prawn potstickers

Lychee and Mango Fruit Shake + Noodles served with Cantonese style bbq pork and fried egg

Went to Big W cos they're having a massive beauty sale atm! These Face Of Australia nail polishes were $3 off! Which turns out that I only got them for just under $2 each. Bargaaaaaaain!

Speaking of nail polishes, I pulled out OPI - Crown Me Already! again. It's so gorgeoussssss and blingy :)

I dyed my hair recently! I went to this place in Parramatta and even though it's not really the colour I wanted (the lady told me that I couldn't go lighter than my current colour) and so I chose this ashy browny tone and it came out like this. Lighter hair is always my preference but it's not that bad. At least my redness is gone haha.
She also gave me a few layers and chopped off my dead ends since I haven't cut my hair since last August.

And noooo, if you noticed, that's not white hair in that last pic, it's just the lighting!

Yesterday I celebrated my best friend's 21st birthday! Was a good time catching up with everyone :) It's almost my turn soon, in 4 months! YAY

Tattoo Nail Art

I love Tumblr. It's my inspiration for many of my nail art designs. I always love looking up other people's designs and trying it out for myself.
I came across this video and it was so brilliant and simple that I just had to try it out.

So I went to hunt for tattoos at those bargain stores, but found no pretty ones. Not like I wanted High School Musical 3 or pirates on my nails. I went through 4 bargain stores and found none until I finally ventured into Lincraft hoping they had something, anything!

Browsing in the scrapbooking section, I found these "Rub-On Transfers" and my first thought was, tattoos!...but for books? :D I read the instructions on the back and it seemed like it worked exactly like a tattoo so I just grabbed the snowflakes cos they were the prettiest and it turned out that it was only $2! Yay

I cut a piece out and tested it on my nail.

The snowflake is on the transparent sheet

Placed it on my nail...rubbed it like a tattoo and then peeled back the sheet....

And voila!

Since my nails are already painted, I didn't wanna put snowflakes all over it, and I wanted to try it on a darker background so I pulled out a few colours and gave it another try.

This colour here is China Glaze - Dorothy Who. I just cut out a snowflake...

`
I peeled back the white card from the transparent sheet....

I positioned the snowflake where I wanted it to be, I rubbed and pressed firmly on the nail to make sure that the snowflake sticks....

I peeled back the transparent sheet and voila, the snowflake!
Add top coat after :)

I tried it on other colours too.
L to R: Ulta3 - Midnight Fever, China Glaze - Dorothy Who, China Glaze - C-C-Courage

So yeaaaa, that's pretty much it. It's super easy, and I think these are a great alternative to your typical "nail stickers". I think these are much more adhesive and easier than tattoos because you don't have to wet your nail to transfer the tattoo on. I can't say much for how long it lasts, but I'll leave it on my index finger and see how it goes.

I'm on the hunt for pretty floral tattoos/rub-on transfers so watch this space for more tattoo nail art!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! X
