I got this cute mini-sized YSL lipstick at a morning tea I attended last month helping to raise funds for the Cancer Council. And by mini, I mean MINI. It's only 6cm tall! So cute.
With the amount of YSL lipstick reviews I've seen in the blogging world, I know that they're special. The gold tube and exquisite packaging makes you want to pull it out anywhere and everywhere. And well, it's a YSL! Why wouldn't you want to show it off? ;)
I would describe this colour as a a true red! It's quite stunning, and if I were to imagine a perfect red colour, this would be it. It looks matte when I take a shot of the lipstick, but when swatched and applied, it just has this gorgeous shine and luxurious feel to it.
Don't know how long the wearing time on this is, because I haven't dared to walk out of this house with it n_n
I kind of look like snow white with my black hair and white skin, don't you think? :D

ReplyDeleteReds also scare me a little bit, I tend to go for more cherry-leaning ones rather than too blue-based or too fire truck red. But overall I don't really wear them much, I prefer my pinks and peaches. The packaging is so cute and luxe :) I think you could definitely pull off this red in public! ReplyDeleteYou know what? You look great with red lips and should flaunt it out in public. YSL is my favorite brand of lipstick ever because they are great quality. I think you will really like their rogue volupte range because it's similar to lip butter but better. The funny thing is they are the same price as revlon (around $26/$27) if you purchase them overseas yet retail for $55 at myer. A good alternative is au.strawberry net which sells them for $34. Gah I'm so tempted to buy this because I love the snow white look :).
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw Rouge Pur Couture I thought you were going to talk about the stain, and thought what a coincidence because I've been eyeing the stain for the last two weeks! I think Snow White is a great look, it especially suits the cold weather atm :)

I love love love red lips! I've also pale skin and dark hair and I know what you mean about that Snow White effect haha. although I love it <3 and yes, the YSL lipstick packaging is always so pretty!
