What Face Of Australia says:
"Inspired by the colours and spirits of the beaches of Barbados, this nail colour story is a fusion of vibrant hues with a shimmery finish."
I grabbed 5 of the 8 colours of the collection since I felt that I already had similar colours at home, but I really regret not getting "Let's Go Scuba Diving" which is a gorgeous kind of aquamarine green/teal shade.
Big W was having a $3 off all Face Of Australia products, so that meant that these babies were only $1.92 each! Bargain! (sale ends May 2, sorry for this late post!)
I apologise for the state of my nail swatches. I have sooo much respect for nail swatch blogs, I did a dodgy job, rushed and everything, but I really couldn't keep applying and then removing the polish, plus with all the shimmer it was hard to remove it all cleanly. (Ha, excuses...) Anywho.
Another Daiquiri Please
A sheer reddish leaning towards pink with fine gold shimmer. This was the least opaque out of all the colours I got, but when you build it up, it's okay. Two coats pictured. I love how you have a gold light to it, as seen in the second photo. Gives depth. Very pretty.
Orange You Glad You Came?
I originally wasn't going to get this colour, but it was so vibrant and stood out to me so much that I couldn't resist. This was two thick-ish coats, It's opaque but you need to apply it evenly so that you don't get "bald" spots on your nails, if you know what I mean. There are tiny tiny tinyyyy gold shimmers in there, if you look super closely, but this is definitely a bright summer colour and I think would suit your toes quite nicely.
I Like To Mauve It
One of my favourites of the bunch, just because it's a really easy to colour to wear. You can see the shimmer in this one quite clearly and it's just really pretty to look at. It's one of those pinky purple shades, depending on how you look at it. Application was a breeze, 2 coats pictured.
You Blue Me Away
Another favourite! The best application by far, was opaque in one coat, but two makes it stand out even more. This one I'd have to say had quick drying time (I noticed on the website it says these guys dry in 60 seconds, but didn't test it properly). It's a gorgeous silver blue and I can't even think of anything else to say! Speaks for itself :) This definitely "blue" me away, haha.
I love a good gold nail polish, and although this is more of a white gold than a gold gold, it's still quite flattering on my light skin tone. It's an easy colour to wear to spice up any outfit, for any mood/occasion, even for work or school (if you can sneak past - I know I used to wear silver nail polish at school sometimes hehe, only because it wasn't that noticable). Two coats pictured here, no problems :)
RRP of these guys are $4.95, you can buy them online at Fashion Addict or pop down to your local Big W, Kmart, Priceline and selected pharmacies.
(Or be cheap like me and get them on sale at Big W for $3 off hehe)
