So Priceline was having a buy one get one free promo on their lip and nail products, and pretty much the whole aussie beauty blogosphere were excited because that meant that the Revlon Lip Butters were included in the sale! Yay :) No one was really going to pay $21.95 for 1 lip butter....right? I mean, they're only around $7 in USA! So the buy 1 get 1 free was pretty good, equating to $11 each which is about how much you can get them on ebay, I think.
I only bought two colours from the Lip Butter range, even though there are well over 15. I just found that a lot of them were somewhat the same-ish shade and majority had shimmer....so I just picked up Peach Parfait and Berry Smoothie.
Swatches on the hand looked different (at the time) but now that I have them in my hands, I find the two shades to be so similar on swatches, that I regret not getting the more pinker colours, like Sweet Tart or Cotton Candy.
As always, Revlon packaging is gorgeous. They close with an audible click and I like how there's different cap colours.
In the following photos, Peach Parfait is on the left, and Berry Smoothie is on the right.
You can see the amount of shimmer in Peach Parfait, and I know it might put you off cos you're scared of a disco ball party on your lips but all that glitter/shimmer kind of looks like a sheen, and it's really pretty. Kind of reminds me of Nars Orgasm blush and that whole rose gold shimmer thing going on :)

I really like both colours, they're really wearable, they're really moisturising and the colours I got where pigmented to a degree where it wasn't a lipstick :) I really like Berry Smoothie. It's leading me to the way of darker lip colours without going overboard. One little step at a time...hehe.
I really want to go back and get some other pinker shades. If I can find them.
Did you guys grab any lip butters? (from Aus) or which is your fave shade? (international readers) :)
So excited about the BOGOF deal at Priceline :) I think I went a little crazy. These two shades I would consider probably the most wearable and "everyday" shades. Really pretty. The lighter pink shades are pretty, but from my experience with light pink shades, I don't think they'd be flattering on me so I steered clear of them. But hopefully you can pick up some more before the deal ends :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great deal! I only have one so far in Pink Truffle and I love it. The only downside is that it doesn't last very long (1 hour if I'm eating/drinking and maybe 2 hours if I'm not doing anything). I definitely wouldn't pay $21.95/each for one. Great picks for the colours!

Those are the exact 4 shades on my radar! I picked up Peach Parfait and Sweet Tart yesterday morning, and wanted Berry Smoothie, and either Strawberry Shortcake or Cotton Candy but both shades didn't have a tester to swatch and make a final judgement. Fig Jam is another colour I'm intrigued by. This is the most exciting Priceline deal ever!

Preeeeeeettttty! I think I have said this to you before but Berry Smoothie is my absolute faveeeeee, love it for everyday! I seriously contemplated grabbing another one in the sale as a back up for when this one runs out... LOL! I'm a bit meh with Peach Parfait, I know it's one of the most popular colours but I think my lips are naturally too dark for the colour to really show up so it just looks like I have a whole heap of glitter on LOL. Other pinker shades I really like are Sweet Tart (second fave!) and Lollipop which is a fuschia-ish pink and super pigmented but if I wear it during day time I just dot it on the lips. As for Cotton Candy, it's nice but again it doesn't really show up on me so that's why I like the more pigmented ones :D
